Kiran Jethwa is a leading trail blazer on the East African culinary scene with a host of culinary awards and number of Internationally broadcast award winning TV shows spanning across 180 countries on platforms like Nat Geo, Channel 4, Food Network and Fox Television.

Born in Kenya to an English Mother and an Indian father, Kiran grew up in a household where food was front and centre and worked in professional kitchens for over two decades. His culinary style can be described as Indo-Mediterranean fusion. Taking from his Indian heritage, and the love of “social eating”, Kiran’s menus are designed to encourage sharing and inclusive dining. This is a key component of the Seven dining experience and a thread that runs through all his brands.

Kiran Jethwa is also the presenter of popular UK Channel 4 cooking show, Extreme Food and Food Unwrapped, and Nat Geo’s Fearless Chef. He is regarded as Kenya’s first celebrity chef and widely recognized for his adventurous approach to cooking. His latest shows, Spirited Traveller, and Tastes of Istanbul on Fox TV, follows Kiran mapping Indian cuisines and cultures taking inspiration from the diverse and rich cultures of India and Turkey.

With success comes responsibility, a mantra wholeheartedly embraced by Kiran who is now using his influence to improve food equity for the most needy through a number of world changing initiatives that really demonstrate his passion for the region.
